Our service proposition

The stamp of the 21st century, through the use of a tag, a wood imprint, and photos, allows to know the identity card of the furniture (the manufacturer, the creation date, the owner’s identification, a description of the property) thanks to a certificate, but also to keep track of the successive restorations carried out through the updating of a maintenance booklet, all certified and protected by blockchain technology.
As an extension of the stamp of the 21st century, a Tracking furniture application has been developed to:
• Conduct a precise inventory of the furniture.
• Monitor in real time the restorations, movements of the furniture in establishments, facilitate restoration requests, and optimize their management by being able to schedule/plan restoration requests to anticipate planned obsolescence and predict associated restoration budgets.
• Commit to the sustainability of materials and communicate on CSR commitments: maintenance booklets, registered on the blockchain, will be auditable at any time as a guarantee of clients’ sustainable commitment to furniture maintenance.
The platform is accessible to all our clients who have subscribed to this solution, thereby providing them access to a dedicated interface from which they can:
• Consult all digital certificates and maintenance booklets.
• Monitor in real time the status of their furniture assets.
• Generate maintenance requests.
• Produce reports.

The Tracking Furniture platform
The Tracking Furniture platform is based on a secure digital asset portfolio solution, GOODSID, tailored to the specific needs of luxury furniture and its maintenance. .
This solution is based on:
• a blockchain protocol , Iota, serving as the foundation for a new model of data security, tamper-proof and completely anonymized.
• a customized interface that allows for the viewing of your furniture inventory, monitoring of its condition, and maintenance management.
This solution allows for:
• individual tracking of each piece through its digital certificate.
• documenting all maintenance activities through a maintenance booklet.
• facilitating maintenance by triggering on-the-spot maintenance requests or, conversely, by scheduling maintenance in advance by jointly planning a projected maintenance date for one or a series of pieces.
We chose IOTA technology for its ability to power the Internet of Things (IoT) without requiring heavy infrastructure investments and especially for its low energy consumption.
Step 1
A digital certificate for each piece, associated with a unique identifier to link it to the physical piece.
Tracking Furniture creates a certificate for each piece containing all the characteristics of the piece (manufacturer, creation date, owner identification, description).
This certificate is like a unique digital passport, a sort of furniture identity card that is linked to the physical piece through a QR code. The certificate is non-duplicable, tamper-proof, and strictly confidential. It allows you to identify yourself as the owner of the piece of furniture and record this asset in your digital portfolio, which keeps an inventory of all the listed furniture. This certificate will accompany the furniture throughout its lifecycle.
Each recorded data is timestamped and digitally signed, ensuring its authenticity.
Step 2
A dynamic maintenance booklet, associated with the digital certificate, which will be enriched throughout the life of the furniture and will track it.
Based on the certificate, a maintenance booklet will be created per piece to keep track of all restorations carried out. It allows to keep a record of all restorations performed, including a photograph, a description, and the date of maintenance.
Step 3
A probationary function enabled by the passage through the Iota blockchain.
This digital certificate serves as proof of ownership and the maintenance log officially attests to the efforts made in terms of maintenance to ensure the sustainability of the asset. The blockchain, or “blockchain” in English, appeared to us as the best technological solution to address the issues of traceability and sustainability of furniture because:
• it is a powerful technology for storing and transmitting information, in the form of a database that allows for tracking a set of transactions;
• it has the particularity of being shared simultaneously with all its users (notion of transparency) and does not depend on any central authority;
• finally, it has the advantage of being fast and secure. All data blocks are timestamped and possess a unique digital signature connecting them to the previous block using a type of complex mathematics called cryptography, guaranteeing the security and integrity of the whole.
In clear terms, this technology allows us to store and transmit information related to furniture and their maintenance in a highly secure, tamper-proof, and irrevocable environment, which would not have been possible through a simple internet platform with pdf document transfers, where the falsification of documents or their history is always possible.
Lastly, the IOTA protocol seemed to us to be the best technological option for its ability to power the Internet of Things (IoT) without requiring heavy investments in infrastructure and especially for its low energy consumption.
Step 4
A consultation platform for tracking and managing movable assets.
All passports associated with your assets are accessible on a consultation platform from your secure digital wallet, and you can at any time, with one click:
• Consult the inventory of listed items, their current location, initial location, and condition.
• Request maintenance.
• Schedule upcoming maintenance requests.
Frequently Asked Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
What happens if the piece of furniture is no longer repairable?
When a piece of furniture is no longer repairable, the digital certificate will be deactivated to reflect the status of the associated physical asset. It will then no longer be usable.
What happens if a new piece of furniture needs to be manufactured for replacement?
For a new piece, a new identification code will be assigned to it along with the creation of a new digital certificate and its associated maintenance manual.
What happens in case of transfer of ownership of the furniture?
The digital certificate can be transferred to a new owner who will thus retain the asset passport and the restoration history recorded in the maintenance manual.
Why is a QR code required?
The QR code conveys a unique serial number that links the digital certificate to the physical asset.
Why choose QR code technology?
Reading a QR code requires no specific investment, and it can be read with any smartphone.
How do you access the management platform?
An account is created for each client with a secure identification system. Authorized personnel can log in using an email address and an authentication code. Any unauthorized individuals will not be able to access the platform.
How can one request on-demand maintenance?
Any authorized person on the platform can scan the QR code attached to the physical part to initiate a maintenance request after logging into the interface with their email and authentication code. This maintenance request will be directly sent by email either to the company Henryot or to the company Dissidi as appropriate for processing. The response will be provided to you via email.
Any unauthorized persons will not be able to access the platform.
How can one schedule predictive or preventive maintenance?
During the production of the part or during a restoration, it will be possible, in collaboration with our companies, to determine a date for the next maintenance. You will also have the option to schedule maintenance for one or more parts.
In this case, we will be notified of your request. The response will be managed via email. An alert can be programmed a few weeks in advance to notify of an upcoming maintenance.
How can one subscribe to this service?
Subscription to this service is done through an annual subscription per part (per issued QR code). A quote will be provided upon request based on the number of parts to be listed on the platform. The subscription grants access rights to the platform, which enables management of digital certificates.
How can one unsubscribe from this service?
You can opt out of this service by notifying us of your intentions via registered letter. Any ongoing year will be due. Termination of the service subscription will be confirmed by mail and will take effect the following year.
Why choose blockchain technology?
This technology enables us to securely store and transmit information related to furniture and its maintenance in an extremely secure, tamper-proof, and irreversible environment, which would not have been possible with a simple internet platform with PDF document transfer, where document tampering or manipulation of their history is always possible.
Why choose IOTA blockchain?
IOTA is a distributed ledger technology designed to facilitate secure and feeless exchange of values and data. It operates based on a unique consensus algorithm called Tangle, which eliminates the need for miners or validators, making transactions free and scalable. The IOTA network can handle up to around 1,000 transactions per second, making it much faster than conventional blockchains like Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Well-known for being the Internet of Things (IoT) blockchain, IOTA appeared to be the right technological solution for our project as it allows for storing a large volume of information using minimal energy resources due to its consensus mechanism.
